The AUMA SEVEN HiMod, a state-of-the-art actuator is redefining industrial automation, integrating advanced modulation techniques with cutting-edge digital diagnostics, connectivity, and sustainable design to meet the evolving demands of Industry 4.0.

In industrial environments where even minor disruptions can lead to significant downtime and financial losses, the AUMA SEVEN HiMod actuator leverages real-time analytics and self-diagnostic capabilities to predict and address issues before they impact operations. Designed for a broad range of applications, including water management and HVAC systems, as well as energy distribution networks, the HiMod platform is tailored to deliver maximum uptime and operational efficiency.

Paul Hopkins, Managing Director, AUMA Actuators Limited says: “The AUMA SEVEN HiMod embodies our vision for the future of industrial automation. Innovation is not just about introducing new technology, it’s about rethinking the way we approach industrial challenges to build systems that are smarter, more resilient, and future‐ready.”

The use of a frequency converter specially conceived for the actuator deployment offers many advantages. Variable speed capabilities, insensitivity to voltage and frequency variations, plus reduced current increase during motor start-up, as well as the valve protection by soft approaching of the end positions all feature.

The rugged design makes these actuators extremely resistant to environmental impacts (standard corrosivity category C5, IP67, double sealed - enclosure protection is also ensured during commissioning) and can be further enhanced as an option. Continuous modulating is in compliance with Class D in accordance with EN 15714-2.

The AUMA SEVEN HiMod comes with a five-year warranty, ensuring long-term reliability and performance for high-precision valve automation. The five-year guarantee reflects AUMA's confidence in its engineering quality, offering customers peace of mind and reduced maintenance costs. This extended warranty underscores the actuator’s robust construction, making it ideal for industries such as water treatment, power generation, and process automation.

A core feature of the AUMA SEVEN HiMod is its seamless integration into the digital ecosystem. In today’s interconnected world, no industrial system can operate effectively in isolation. The HiMod’s architecture supports both conventional control systems and emerging IoT frameworks, ensuring continuous, real-time data flow that drives proactive maintenance and informed decision-making.

“Connectivity is the lifeblood of our digital transformation strategy,” Paul Hopkins notes. “By embedding robust communication capabilities into our actuators, we are paving the way for a smarter, more responsive industrial ecosystem.”

The innovative design of the HiMod is further enhanced by its modular construction, which offers unrivalled flexibility and scalability. This adaptive approach allows customers to configure the actuator to meet unique operational demands without compromising performance.

Paul Hopkins continues: “Our commitment to innovation means we provide solutions that are not only state-of-the-art today but are also designed to evolve with our customers’ needs over the long term. The AUMA SEVEN HiMod stands apart with its holistic approach to technology and lifecycle management. Rather than being viewed as a mere short-term fix, the HiMod is a strategic investment in operational excellence. Our focus is on delivering solutions that adapt and grow with the ever-changing industrial landscape, ensuring our customers maintain a competitive edge.”.

Sustainability is also at the forefront of the AUMA SEVEN HiMod’s design. With energy efficiency and environmental stewardship in mind, the actuator is engineered to reduce energy waste while optimising overall performance. This commitment to green technology aligns with AUMA’s global efforts to meet stringent environmental regulations and resource conservation goals.

“Sustainability is at the core of our innovation strategy,” Hopkins remarked. “We believe that the future of industrial automation lies in technologies that drive both performance and responsible resource use.”

The digital transformation embodied by the AUMA SEVEN HiMod represents a paradigm shift in industrial automation. By combining advanced analytics with a robust, interconnected design, the HiMod empowers operators with actionable insights that streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and significantly reduce downtime. This data-driven approach is both a technical upgrade and marks a fundamental rethinking of how industrial operations can be optimised for a new era of connectivity and performance.

Paul Hopkins concludes: “At AUMA  we’re hugely excited to lead the way into a future where intelligent automation transforms operational landscapes, delivering sustainable value and performance to process and control industries.”
